Japanese Taiko Drumming - Children's Beginner - REC2200

Ages 6-10. Discover the art of Japanese Taiko drumming, which has been played in Japan for over 2,000 years. The word taiko means big drum, & the art form incorporates large drums, body movement, vocalization, & various instruments. All drums are provided. No drumming experience necessary. All you need is the desire to play, have fun, & a willingness to share the joy of taiko with others. During this fun & energetic class, school age children will learn about rhythm & drumming thru the use of games, songs, dance & drumming. Students must buy their own drumsticks for $15 on the first day of class.
